Overview
Scrcpy is an application designed to mirror Android devices (video and audio) connected via USB or TCP/IP to a desktop computer (Linux, Windows, or macOS). It allows users to control the device using the computer's keyboard and mouse.
Key characteristics include:
- Performance-Oriented: Focuses on low latency, high frame rates (30-120fps), and fast startup time (~1 second).
- Non-Intrusive: Does not require root access and leaves no application installed on the Android device after use.
- Core Functionality: Provides video and audio mirroring, recording capabilities, and device control (keyboard, mouse, gamepad).
- Architecture: Consists of a client application running on the host computer and a server application pushed and executed on the Android device. Communication occurs over sockets, typically tunneled through ADB.
